The Corso-Zundert Netherlands Flower Parade

Every year, the small village of Zundert Netherlands, and birthplace of Vincent Van Gogh, hosts the largest flower parade in the World!

For over 80 years, 12 local hamlets have competed for the best float design, each year being bigger and better than the one before. Created entirely of dahlia flowers, the floats are moving masterpieces! Competitors dedicate most of their year to design, engineering, growing and harvesting dahlias, and finally creating their entry. What you can expect if you attend is an exciting display of music, motion, special effects, and a celebratory atmosphere!

Planning

Date: The Corso is held the first Sunday of September, Sept 3 2023. The grounds open at 10am and the parade starts at 1330

Tickets: A ticket is required to enter the parade field and exhibition area, and there is additional cost for seating in the stands. The parade winds it’s way though town and there are many spots to bring your own chairs along the route and avoid the extra cost. Purchase tickets here!

How to get there: There are many parking lots along the route, with signs and volunteers directing you where to go. Parking costs €3 for the day. For public transport, Zundert is only accessible by bus.

Where to Stay: There are some small hotels in Zundert, and more options in nearby cities like Breda and Rosendaal. Alternatively, if you wanted to spend the weekend in a larger city, Zundert is an easy 1 hour drive from Antwerp and Rotterdam.

Other info: The grounds are stroller and dog friendly. But not in the stands. Bring cash. The entire city is dedicated to the event for the weekend. There are vendors lining the streets, there are DJs and model exhibits, you can get up close and personal with the floats at the exhibition grounds after the parade. So plan on making a day of it. Food is available on site. Bring sunscreen and wear comfortable shoes! Visit http://www.corsozundert.nl for more details.
