My 2025 Christmas Market Calendar: Now Featuring the U.S.!

If you’ve followed me for a while, you already know Christmas markets are my thing. Every winter, I plan out an absurdly detailed calendar of markets across Europe — from tiny village squares with handmade ornaments to full-blown winter wonderlands lined with miles of quaint wooden huts.

Over six years of living in Germany, I wandered through more than 100 Christmas markets — big, small, charming, chaotic, and everything in between. Each one had its own personality, its own scent, its own vibe, and its own kind of winter magic.

This year, though, we’ve moved back to the U.S. I’m heartbroken that chapter of my life is over, but I refuse to give up one of the things I loved most about living in Europe: the Christmas markets!

So since I’m back in the States, I’ve expanded the calendar to include American Christmas markets. That’s right — from cozy European-style markets to big, twinkly events packed with lights and Hygge, U.S. Christmas markets now have their own section. And trust me, there are some seriously impressive ones stateside — think Chicago, Denver, and Bethlehem (yes, that Bethlehem, Pennsylvania).

Also new this year — no paywall. You no longer have to be a subscriber to access the calendar. So grab your mittens, pour a mug of mulled wine, and start plotting your own route through the world’s most festive season.

  1. How exciting see these in the U.S. Although I didn’t go to any in Europe (my own fault), I’ll try my best to attend a couple, maybe even with you!🎄
