Holler If You Hear Me *and want a giveaway*

Winner is Kelly Schoeps! Pick your prize! 🙂

I started this blog years ago…years ago! It started as something small. Just a way for me to share some of my most asked for recipes. Then some of my favorite recipes. Then some of my favorite music. Then on a day when it just seemed that a Facebook post was not sufficient, it began to include stories and rants and photos and how-to’s!

It has been through a few template changes…a few name changes…a few content changes. But it has always been me. I do this for me. The blog is my hobby. Maybe some of the recipes are really basic, and some of the posts are boring, but I didn’t set out to do this to try to impress anyone or make a career of it. To me, it represents an avenue in which to share a little bit of myself; my thoughts, opinions, my recipes, etc.

The hope, of course, was that people would be interested in what I had to write about! But even if no one cared, I would still do it. Lucky for me, some people do enjoy it!

So to say thank you for taking the time to support me, and for giving a little bit of your time in exchange of a little bit of mine, I am having a giveaway!

Plus, I just really like giveaway’s! 🙂 They are so fun!

I obviously am a small blog and don’t have companies giving me loads of products to test and give away. So although my prizes might not be as envy-worthy as some blogs, that doesn’t mean I still can’t offer something awesome!

So, for this *over 2500 milestone* giveaway, I have 2 new cookbooks for you to choose from!

Or you can choose a mystery box!

Cookbook #1 The Asian Cooking Bible

As the cover says, there are over 140 recipes, and most of them have beautiful color photos!

There are 10 different recipe sections in this book, including Dumplings & Wraps, Hot & Spicy, Tofu & Such, and Fish & Poultry.

There are also lots of handy tips sprinkled throughout the book!

Cookbook #2 Cooking Light’s the essential Dinner Tonight Cookbook

Every recipe in this book is accompanied by a gorgeous photo! (which is something that I look for when buying a cookbook!)
I own 2 or 3 Cooking Light cookbooks. I love them! This book is separated in to weeknight and weekend menus, then further broken down into soups, sandwiches, salads, Meatless main, fish, meats, poultry in the weekday portion. Then breakfast & brunch, lunch, supper, and entertaining in the weekend portion.
Because these books are geared toward eating lighter and healthier, a nutritional analysis is included with each recipe! There are also some handy tips in this book as well!
Option #3 Mystery Box

If neither one of these cookbooks suit your fancy, you can opt for a mystery box and take your chances with whatever it may contain!
I would tell you, but then it wouldn’t be a mystery! (that, and I just don’t know what it will contain yet! 😉 )
So…how to enter! Just holler in the comments what your favorite part of this blog is, and what you might like to see more of!
Do you like the recipes? Maybe the photos? Perhaps you want more music and countdowns? Post it in the comments!
A winner will be selected at random TUESDAY MORNING! Please include your name with your entry as it is difficult to award a prize to “anonymous”!
May the odds be ever in your favor! 🙂

  1. Holler! 😉 I love reading your blogs…no matter what the subject line is. 🙂 I've seen cool projects, heard new music, have a list of recipes to try, saw some beautiful photos, and even vicariously went to other States/Countries because of your blogs. I wouldn't be able to pick just one category as a favorite, or what I'd like to see more of, since I enjoy it all. My favorite part of this blog…”To me, it represents an avenue in which to share a little bit of myself; my thoughts, opinions, my recipes, etc.The hope, of course, was that people would be interested in what I had to write about! But even if no one cared, I would still do it.”….I love that you do this for you and that it's a hobby. And that you enjoy sharing it with others. So, thanks for sharing. 🙂
