I woke up in a mood today. Some days I am just so inside my head that it takes every ounce of concentration just to come to the surface and be functional! Music probably helps in the getting lost, but it’s what I like to do on days like this…that and clean house since its a mindless activity. Sleep might help. My body has been holding my sleep hostage for weeks now! It’s usually days like this when I have had enough of the BS and say what’s on my mind instead of minding my manners so I need a distraction. Blog to the rescue! These are my last 10 downloads. Pretty good ones if you ask me! 😉 I’ve been feeling more and more into country lately, so don’t be surprised if more country songs start popping up on my list. Don’t worry though, my roots are in Rock/Alt so I will never stray too far! 🙂

1. Titanium- David Guetta & Sia: This is another one of those songs that I have liked but just never got around to buying it. I heard them sing it in the shower on Pitch Perfect (great movie!) and knew I had to get it. Wish I could get their à capella version tho…

2. Two Black Cadillacs- Carrie Underwood: Leave it to Carrie to have a payback song! Lol! This song is really catchy and edgy!

3. Stars- Grace Potter & the Nocturnals: I love the tune to this song…so sweet. I can really relate to the lyrics as well. 

4. Demons- Imagine Dragons: Yet another awesome song from Imagine Dragons! Every time I hear this song I think :I need to get it:…well I finally did. I think we all have some demons hiding…I know I do..

5. Slow it Down- The Lumineers: Probably my new favorite song at the moment! I get lost is this song…I can listen to it on repeat for hours and just not surface. It’s not the lyrics per se, but the tune and the pitch of his voice…it sends me somewhere deep inside myself. It’s like…therapy. 

6. The A team- Ed Sheeran- This is another song that I have been fighting downloading for a while. I love to sing it though. ha ha!

7. When Your Gone- Avril Lavigne: I was shocked that I didn’t already have this song! I was building my iTunes back up after the Great Computer Crash and noticed that I didn’t have it, which is weird cause it’s been stuck in my head for almost 8 months now. The “words I need to hear to always get me through the day and make it okay” is what gets me…

8. Sweet Nothing- Calvin Harris (with Florence Welch): I don’t understand why this is by Calvin Harris WITH Florence Welch when she sings the whole thing by herself??? Can someone explain that to me please. Anyway…I have long loved Florence, and this song is no exception. 

9. Feel Again- One Republic: This is an anthem song! This is a song to bury your sorrows and look at the brighter side; it’s motivating, and I love that!

10. Just a Fool- Christina Aguilera (with Blake Shelton): I heard them sing this for the first time on the Voice and I loved it instantly! I just have been putting off buying it. Lol!

So those are my last 10 downloads. I guess when I get another 10 I will write again! Interestingly, the fist time I am seeing most of these videos is when I write the blog…so its like a little surprise for me too!
