Lately I have been really into mellow….slow…soulful music. I found this amazing playlist on Spotify from the Tunigo app called Cozy Evening that I absolutely love! I can listen to it non-stop…over and over. I even put it on so I could snuggle on the couch with the pups and take a nap! lol! Although I do love the playlist, there are only a few songs that I have starred as favorites. So here is my list of those, plus a one from Pinky that has a regular gig on my sleep playlist and has been stuck in my head lately!
1. I won’t Give Up- Jason Mraz: I think everyone knows and loves this song. No surprise this made the list. It’s also on my sleep playlist.
2. Come Away With Me- Nora Jones: Another well known one. This is also the only song that I can remember specifically from Amy’s birth playlist, which makes it even more special! 🙂
3. Cannonball- Damien Rice: I think I just like the tune of this song. Took me listening to it a few times to really appreciate it though.
4. I Believe in You- Tyler Hilton: I always love rock songs done acoustically!
5. Rise Up- Ben Lee: I think this is such a pretty song. The harmonizing is so perfect!
6. Flesh and Bone- Keaton Henson: I REALLY love this song! It’s so soulful and I love the chorus. And at the end…when is voice is cracking…I swear my heart aches. So potent!
7. Dance With Me- The Sweet Remains: This song so sweet and swaying and makes me wish I could have played it at my wedding!
8. Hide and Seek- Imogen Heap: I swear I had heard this songe before…or part of it? I’m thinking the chorus might have been in another song. Derulo? I’m not sure, but I like it!
9. Tomorrow will be Kinder-The Secret Sisters: This is on my sleep playlist, and was playing when I woke up this morning, so has been stuck in my head all day! Not that I mind…I love this song! I love the message behind it….look to the future, to the bright, to the tomorrow…it gets better. 🙂
10. Let Her Go- Passenger: I heard this one on the my local HD radion station last night for the first time and I was instantly interested …then it just kept getting better and better, and once it hit a capella at the end, I was sold!
There you have it! A mellow relaxing playlist that you could nap by! (dont mind if I do!) 🙂
